Publication of Banks, SDIs and PSPs 2024 Fraud Report

The Bank of Ghana’s 2024 Fraud Report provides a comprehensive overview of fraud typologies, case volumes, and values at risk across Banks, Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions (SDIs), and Payment Service Providers (PSPs). The report highlights a 5% rise in total fraud cases to 16,733 in 2024, a 13% increase in aggregate value at risk to GH¢99 million, significant growth in forgery and identity theft cases, rising PSP-related electronic fraud, and a 33% increase in staff involvement.
